Meet The Robinsons [27]
Once again, I have scoffed at the idea of another animated Disney feature film, and once again, it has turned out far better than I could have expected. In addition, a recent visit to Disneyland and Tomorrowland ties it all together. The Future has arrived!
The song, The Future has Arrived, sung by the All-American Rejects largely sums up the movie. “The future has arrived today. . . its better for you, and its better for me, its better than what everybody thought it would be”. Having the All-American Rejects sing this Danny Elfman tune, puts a very positive spin on it with no sarcasm. There are a couple other hits on the album, including Kids of the Future, sung by the Jonas Brothers.
The script is adapted from a story called A Day with Wilbur Robinson by William Joyce. Some of his other well-known books are: George Shrinks, Santa Calls, Dinosaur Bob and his Adventures with the Family Lazardo, Rolie Polie Olie, and The Leaf Men and The Brave Good Bugs. Joyce also helped come up with the idea for the movie Robots.
This is a great movie and very uplifting. {BB}
