    Star Trek: First Contact [24]

    Expectation Reviews
    Can the Borg save the eighth Trek Movie? Only the even ones seem to be good. Kahn(2), Whales(4), Klingons(6). The previews are out and I must say they whet the appetite for more. The borg look like the evil necessary to get a Trek Movie running and the action/digital effects appear to be top notch (again.) Hints at the borgification of Geordi and Data, and Worf being called a coward appeal to interesting plot twists. (Minus 1 for the line Worf is given - "Assimilate this." ugh.) Although going back in time seems to be the wave of the Trek movies and shows, (this will be the third movie of eight to use time travel as a plot device) I hope the writers didn't write themselves in to the corner like they did in NGs back to olde SF two-part cliffhanger. {AB}
